Amy Hunter’s newest body of work, ‘Pleasure for Leisure’, muses on the art of self introspection amidst a juncture of worldly fissure. Unravelling internal rupture across paper, Hunter re-defines her feminal motif with a fresh spectrum of balmy colours and raw tones, a signal to the soothing aura of an Australian summer. 

Playing with partiality, Hunter welcomes airs of open space alongside novel patches of colour, re-birthing her ritualistic practice of laced lines and loops. This contrast of painted presence and papery absence symbolises the artists new-found direction in discomfort, channelling simplicity and the unknown to imagine an exciting form full with fragments"
